The first build update for the Technical Preview.
You can install it via PC Settings --> Update and recovery --> Preview builds.
You could also then convert the ESD files to complete iso's with the tooling available on other websites.
New in this build
There are a few new items in this build:
- New opening/closing animation of Windows (such as winver/notepad/command prompt)
- Open Control Panel has been replaced with Open Settings in This PC
- DockingController App in Start Menu, crashes in VMware
- PC Settings, the old one with new options (datasense, battery saver and 2 options for preview builds)
- zPC Settings, new PC settings, items have been rearranged and new stuff added, items with ''*'' don't work or are place holders
- Home has only ''Frequent'' in it, thus removing Favorites

Windows Default Lock Screen
There is a new Default Application included which has already been introduced on Windows Phone as a Beta App.
It is called the Windows Default Lock Screen App.
Run it by executing: explorer.exe shell:AppsFolder\Microsoft.WindowsDefaultLockScreen_8wekyb3d8bbwe!LockApp
Cloud Experience Host
Run it by executing: explorer.exe shell:AppsFolder\Microsoft.CloudExperienceHost_8wekyb3d8bbwe!App
Windows Shell Experience Host
Run it by executing: start-menu://test
It shows the screen for a while then closes, after a few moments it then shows an error.
Windows Update (Threshold)
Show an Test Page for Windows Update in PC Settings.
Show Notifications Up / Below
Show the UI Toasts at the bottom or the top.
This setting requires an explorer.exe restart (or sign-out and in again).
Threshold Preview Builds
This setting will show an updated Preview UI Page in PC Settings. WARNING!: Using this will prevent you from getting preview builds.
Disable/Enable the new Search
Set last 0 for deactivation or 1 for activation, restart explorer.exe after running the script below to take affect.
Disable/Enable the Virtual Desktops
Set last 0 for deactivation or 1 for activation, restart explorer.exe after running the script below to take affect.
Disable/Enable Notification Center
Set last 1 for activation or 0 for deactivation, restart explorer.exe after running the script below to take affect.
New login screen
This build features a new login screen with a transparant overlay and new layout on the login screen itself.
Active it by setting Threshold to 1 and 0 to deactivate.
