Notes
There are several new Control Panel Applets found in the Control Panel such as
Dial-Up Networking,
Taskbar and
Start Menu,
Users and
Windows Update AutoUpdate.
Scanners and Camera's got a new icon as did
Sounds but also renamed as
Sounds and Multimedia.
In the Start Menu you can find some new Applications previously available as a separate PLUS! installation, Windows 2000 or new.

CD Player (Deluxe),
DirectPlay Voice,
Synchronize and a few Games
The Microsoft Hearts Network,
Solitaire,
FreeCell,
Minesweeper,
3D Pinball and
Spider.
Also included is the MSN Gaming Zone with Internet Games such as
Backgommon,
Checkers,
Hearts,
Reversi and
Spades.
The Windows Media Player included is Version 6.4 and Internet Explorer now carries the 5.5 logo.
Also new is the
MSN Messenger Service at version 1.0.0893 found later included (and with a Interface Upgrade) in Windows XP.

Fixes
Installation
If you use Microsoft Virtual PC (which is recommended for older Windows Operating Systems) make sure you upgrade from Microsoft Windows 98 or a previous Microsoft Windows ME build (such as 4.90.2394.0).
This is because the installation doesn't install the correct Display Driver and VMAdditions and/or S3 Display Drivers don't work.
During the installation there are several file copy errors, just click
Skip File.
