Notes
Setup uses a pattern now instead of an image as the Setup background.
Instead of
Starting Memphis… a warning display’s about an invalid settings in the MSDOS.SYS and
Starting Windows 95…. Then it loads Windows, the background is white instead of black (2nd boot and up), after logging in you no longer get a ‘’Welcome to Memphis’’ dialog box.
Also new in this build is gradient title bars, builds before and Windows 95 uses solid blue bars (default), it now goes from dark blue to black and inactive Windows are no longer solid gray but uses a gradient from gray to black.
In the Start Menu the IE 4.0 Preview Release is replaced with a gray Memphis, this notes the first time ‘’Memphis’’ is uses in the Start Menu.
New is a Settings Wizard with which you can customize Windows or you can open the full Control Panel.
The Explorer background has changed from a file icon with a sphere on it from a blue/greenish color to a bright blue background with light blue spheres.
Internet Mail and Internet News are renamed to Outlook Express Mail and Outlook Express News and are one application now, the Outlook Express News just opens Outlook Express Mail. New to Windows is the Windows Address Book.
